Badd For Good is a literary journey of resilience, faith and overcoming adversity, available now via Amazon and published by Titan Insider Press

Wiltshire-based writer and purpose-driven PR professional Ben Veal has teamed up with Marc Mero, America’s leading motivational schools speaker and former professional wrestler, for the publication of his new memoir Badd To Good: The Inspiring Story of a Wrestling Wildman.
Published by Titan Insider Press, the new book takes readers on an inspirational literary journey, from Mero’s tough upbringing in Buffalo, New York, to becoming a four-time New York State Golden Gloves boxing champion, to entering the world of sports entertainment in the early 1990s as the charismatic character Johnny B. Badd and becoming a globally recognised star of the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE).
Mero, who made history as the first ever wrestler to receive a guaranteed contract from the WWE upon signing in 1996, was a key figure during the height of wrestling’s popularity alongside his then-wife Rena ‘Sable’ Mero and. However, after a very public departure from the company and following the breakdown of his marriage, Mero journeyed through some very dark times before finding his purpose and founding ‘Champion of Choices’ in 2007, a not-for-profit organisation that has now empowered hundreds of thousands of young people globally to build self-confidence and make the right choices in their lives.
Through the publication of Badd To Good, Marc Mero helps to positively impact an even wider audience:
“I am thrilled to announce the release of my new book, chronicling the highs and lows of my life both in and outside the wrestling ring. It’s a powerful narrative of overcoming adversity and the importance of perseverance no matter how tough the journey gets. Working with Ben Veal as my co-author has been such a great experience; Ben has helped me to find the right words to tell my story in the right way, which has included reflecting back on the absolute lowest times of my life and the lessons that I learned from hitting rock bottom. I have held nothing back in this book, from my modest beginnings to the struggles with addiction that almost consumed me.”
For Chartered CIPR Practitioner Ben Veal, who runs Wiltshire-based Second Mountain Comms and hosts two award-winning podcasts, Good Journeys and Wrestling Life, working with Mero on the publication of his autobiography was a huge professional privilege:
I knew within minutes of my first conversation with Marc Mero that I had to write the story of his life: I was immediately captivated by his personality, warmth and humility and felt that he personified what it means to be purpose-driven in his life. Marc had scaled the highest of highs professionally but had also battled the lowest of lows, before turning his life around and setting his full focus on helping others and empowering the next generation. Through Badd To Good, it is my hope that readers will be inspired by Marc’s journey of redemption, resilience and redemption.
With forewords from wrestling heavyweight champions Diamond Dallas Page and Lex Luger, contributions from industry luminaries Mick Foley, Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, Justin Roberts, Erik Watts and more, Badd To Good is a real-life, no-holds-barred underdog story and a tale of overcoming life’s biggest obstacles and finding faith and purpose on the other side of dark times.
Badd To Good: The Inspiring Story of a Wrestling Wildman by Marc Mero with Ben Veal is available to buy now from Amazon and Inside The Ropes Magazine.
